In the interests of keeping busy while m'wife's away, I have:

shopped and picked up scrips;
run two three loads of laundry through washer and dryer both;
stripped and made up the beds;
cleaned the bathroom;
put the bins out;
snuggled certain furry gentlemen who had best remain anonymous*;
and written more than you might expect on what was meant to be a day off.

Now I shall have a cup of tea and a Patrick O'Brian, and try not to think about the kitchen floor.

And while he doesn't like to pass comment on other denizens of the household, he must confess to being a little disappointed in Disinterested Turtle, who didn't Help at all.]
