Tips, ripped off, gardening in the use of
May. 10th, 2015 10:57 pmThe nice thing about having a garden infested with bermudagrass? When I can't do anything else, when I'm raging with self-contempt, I can always go out there and tear the fucking stuff out of the revolting clay.
This afternoon I (mostly) cleared the boysenberry wall. At the cost of a couple of fingernails, because the roots really do have to be clawed out by hand, but hey. I have never been vain or fussy.*
In other news, I now have two keyboards plugged into this computer. I didn't know you could do that. But the last few days, my boot loader has refused to recognise my regular ergonomic keyboard (despite having worked quite happily with it for the last three years), and has just gone haywire thereafter, so that I couldn't boot at all into any OS; while with the old revolting minimalist keyboard it works just fine. So I had been hotplugging first the one to get into the system, and then the other to work with it - but it occurred to me this afternoon that I could try plugging both in at once, and that seems to be working, so hey. Lord knows what'll happen with boot-up, but I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
Lots of things, we just might learn tomorrow. I am not twitchy. At all.
*If you would like to dispute either of these contentions, you are welcome to do so - but, y'know, guys. Some other forum? Not here. Not where people still listen and believe.
