I covet your hardbacks.

Also, your cats.

It took me a second to spot Barry. He almost looks like a shadow.

I think that's how he feels, poor boy. Also, it is a rotten photo...

What an awesome, troublesome pair they appear to be. You will have your hands full... but be very happy.

It's great that they can stand to be that close together and not be agressive towards each other (unless you have another picture taken 5 minutes later with two cats and the debris that was a bookshelf?)

Cute pair, lovely picture. :-)

Atop the bookcase doesn't bother me as much as the fascination our two kittens have for the second-floor railing above the foyer. It doesn't help that one is more kitten than cat at this point and tries to catch her tail and continues to lose her balance. Wife says I'm a softie, but I wouldn't want to fall from that railing.

Mmm. I also have a railing above a hallway, which one of my previous girl-cats loved to walk, sit, lie upon, use as a jumping-off point en route to my shoulders, etc etc. I never saw her slip, stumble or fall - but a couple of months after they moved in, I did notice these dreadfully deep scratches in the varnish, where it was all too easy to imagine a cat desperately trying to cling, against the inexorability of gravity...

Still, if she did fall, she survived it. And was not put off hangin' around on the railing. I did try to learn not to worry.

They are so cute!

I also tweaked your piccie a bit so you can see the kitties better: here (http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=00009dk2uc2.jpg). Yes, I'm bored on my lunch break ;)

PS - have replaced my drear original with your own, so they shine brightly, brightly and with beauty...

Aaaww, I'm flattered :) It's surprising how much you can achieve with a photo editing program and not much effort. I used Auto Contrast to do a quick fix on the contrast. I wasn't happy with the Auto Levels adjustment so I tweaked the levels by hand to get a nicer colour tone.

I work for a software company and we make an equivalent to Adobe PhotoShop, called PhotoPlus, which is what I used.
