In which I create and prepare an all-new dessert, in forty-five minutes flat...

If it's nasty, obviously, I shall never mention it again. If it's nice, though, it shall be called Chaz'z Quadruple-Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding, for lo, chocolate is in fact the only dessert. And this is chocolate-and-sour-cherry bread (which is double-chocolate in itself, for it's a chocolate dough with chocolate chips embedded in it along with the dried cherries), made into buttery sandwiches with real chocolate chunks for filling, in a chocolate-and-vanilla custard. Basically, what's not to be gorgeous? But we cannot know for sure until it's been in and out of the oven and down via people's gullets to their nether regions. With cream.

PS - Mac got to lick out the mixing-bowl, and is so ridiculously pleased with himself, he hasn't noticed he's got chocolate custard on his whiskers. Unless he's saving it for later...

If there's something better than chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate, it must be chocolate, chocolate, more chocolate, and sour cherries.

This is simply a truth. If people said it more often, it would be a truism; but shhh, I think it's our secret...

I usually make myself double-chocolate scones with cherries for my birthday breakfast, but that's quadruple-chocolate is a heady height to which I have barely aspired.

I could send more chocolate, if needed...?

My dad used to think he didn't like cherries as an ingredient, just fresh ones by themselves. Then he tried my hazelnut-chocolate chip-sour cherry brownies. I win.
