Self-discovery

I have always been a secret sentimental - as witness: teddy bear! - but even so. It is not clear to me, quite how it is that I know All The Words to the Muppets' "Rainbow Connection", even after all these years (given that I have never to my knowledge seen the movie from which it derives); nor how, given all of that, I had never noticed until now that Kermit is left-handed.

In other news, Saturday mornings are my last chance of the week to work at the Lit & Phil, and I had meant to be the epitome of virtue. Instead of which, I was Simonjacked, and we did All The Walking, taking his dog - I dunno, eight miles or so? - up and down the river while his daughters rowed.

Then I went out on my own over the moor, allegedly to shop, although I secretly needed nothing.

And now I suppose I really should do some work or something, but, y'know. It's practically evening.

Well, that worked.

I've never seen The Abyss. It's on telly right about now, I'm at a bit of a loose end; I thought I'd watch it. Sat down, tuned in - and they decided to start with a headshot of James Cameron talking about the making of the movie.

There may be a reason why I don't watch DVD extras.

Three minutes in, I decided he was too annoying and I really didn't want to watch it after all.

So I turned it off and came upstairs to post this - and m'beloved phoned. And I am speaking to her as I type...
