What fresh hole is this?

There is a hole, alas, in the heel of one of my Solmate socks. Internet, I am distress. To the point that I consider darning it. Does anyone still darn a sock? (The Chalet girls do it all the time, as my mother used to, but I don't think I've seen anyone with a darning needle and a mushroom since I was a kid. Alas, I certainly have not the skill, nor the equipment. But I might acquire them all if the alternative is to throw these socks away in my usual cavalier fashion. I love them that much.)

In other news, we are about to go pick up a pot-hanging rack that Katherine found on Craigslist.
