The reason why I do this, why I turn the whole house upside down and make the domestic chaos worse even than it was before?

It is for the greater amusement of the cats. Obviously.

Why was this not obvious to me before? They cannot imagine. They have given up trying to explain it to me, and are now demonstrating. Largely on what had been somewhat-ordered piles of books, and are now, um, strewn.

Uh, help? A little help here...?

*sobs quietly*

*picks a book up, gazes about self helplessly, drops it again*
