Merely to note: last year's new wordage totals 1082 pages. Which, at a rough 300wpp, gives us an approximate total of 325,000 words. Which is more than I'd expected, to be honest.

Now I must go back to hacking and slaying, destroying as many as possible unread. Babies, line up: I have to kill you now.

Oh, and of course, because I'm on deadline before my out-of-town gig next week, my printer's given up the ghost.

Is there a Printer of Heavenly Perfection out there? I have a Canon MultiPass 730, and it's been trouble since I got it.

I have the Dell 3100cn (I think - that's from memory, it's dark in here), and it does indeed exhibit Heavenly Perfection. Also size: it's enormous, comes with serious do-not-try-to-handle-this-machine-alone instructions. Tho' of course I do.

Size aside, it's still overkill for me - I do not need a colour printer. I thought perhaps that need would manifest itself, that I'd find things I could usefully do with colour. Not so far...

But I expect it to outlive me, which is good. I like heavyweight engineering.
