The best and worst of humanity, in two swift glimpses

The best: I just saw a guy in a manual wheelchair, luggage in lap, working his way uphill from the station. What was obviously a total stranger paused as he passed the other way, and asked where the guy was going, and would he like a push?

I like to think I might've done the same, if t'other guy hadn't got there first, but I was delighted that he had. All three of us exchanged warm grins as we passed, entirely happy with ourselves and each other...

The worst: there is a man. In the Silence Room. Sitting at my table. My table. It is possible that he does not know this - I've never seen him before, he's a newbie - but ignorance in law is no excuse.

I would adopt my Deeply Annoying Sniff, see if that would shift him, but that he has a Deeply Annoying Sniff of his own. Maybe I'll try the Hacking Cough...

Not actually a sign. I have discussed the whole cat question with them more than once, and been met with a general negativity.
