Enormous Machinery is currently planing off the surface of the back alley and spraying it into the back of a lorry. This is so interesting, the boys are even content to share a windowsill while they watch.

On the other hand, it is also extremely noisy. Never was man more eager to run out of the house for a day's grinding nose-to-paper engagement with a text...

(Well, maybe half a day. More than twenty pages, though: I am determined on that.)

We have scaffolders next door, which is mesmerising Ish -- he's probably remembering being a year old and having builders in (they were soft and used to let him boss them about and climb on everything. I have pics of him walking the roof ridge).
Good luck with the revisions -- the offer of Hong Kong cinema still stands, should you change your mind.

Enormous machinery does exert a certain fascination to boys of all ages, sexes and (it appears) species, until the noise makes your brains dribble out of your ears.
