Forty pages. Which yet doth double twenty, and finisheth Part One. Tomorrow, I shall go in early, buy danish on the way to be my breakfast, and do sixty. Which will take me to the end of Part Two. Then I can work all of that through the computer over the weekend, and that will be the first quarter dealt with, and a good beginning. Well begun is - well, a quarter done. That at least.
Next week, maybe I can buy lunches in town and have blitzing-days, the way I used to. Mornings in the library, afternoons in the pub. If I have the stamina.
Meanwhile, came home to find another kind of grindy-rumbly machine chewing at the roadway, and this one Mac doesn't like at all. He's slinking round the house at speed, at a half-crouch, pacing the walls and utterly unable to settle. Baz is bewildered; we haven't seen him like this before.
