At a glance, they have changed eyes

I have new glasses. This is not an extravagance: I had to get new glasses, on account of the old ones really not working any more. I couldn't, y'know, see very clearly at all.

The new ones are very different, in that and other respects. Faced with the option of going for something much like what I had before, I turned and walked the other way; "it'll be a new look," the nice optician-person said, blinking slightly. Two new looks, as it happens, as I chose two pairs.

New glasses are weird, though. Everything looks so much smaller, when it's in focus...

People should probably expect clumsiness and misjudgements in the immediate area of me, until I adjust. I may already have added too much caraway seed to the soup. (I have people coming for dinner tomorrow. Soup's in the slow cooker, dessert is in the fridge, and I think I've more or less figured out what happens between the two. Or I had, until I decided that the soup might be over-seeded. Yikes. Need a fall-back extra course, quick...)
