Yesterday's shopping was a new blender. The old one is not quite worth throwing out yet, but it is very old, and broken in at least two ways already, and it puffs and blows and is bothered by the notion of doing any work.
The new one? Oooh. Big glass goblet! Mega-motor! Pre-programmed settings, that do fancy and interesting things! [Also, big glass square goblet! No more of your tedious roundnesses for me; my blendings shall have angles!!)
I foresee more soups in my future. Today's lunch is a classic in this house, roasted cherry tomato with molto garlic, flavoured with rosemary and bay, adorned with pesto and parmesan and bacon croutons and sour cream. Them's my kind of additives...

Good grief, no. I adore it. Indeed, I depend on it; I am a shoddy solicitor.
