Yup - or not so much baffled as eye-rolling at the naivety. But that was implicit in the opening statement, which more or less says "If you disagree with what I tell you, it's because you don't understand animals half as well as I do." Yeah, right. Couldn't be because your assumptions are simplistic and your deductions adolescent, nooo...

Off-meme comment: we have one of those critters up in the hills not too far from where my younger daughter lives. No recent sightings, but the people that used to own the house would find paw prints from time to time. The hills are crawling with deer, so there is plenty of prey. (Is it "is" or "are"?) Mountain lions are usually shy of people, but can be extremely dangerous if cornered, or if they get into "prey = MINE" mode. Make lots of noise when you hike so they can hear you coming. (Wonder how that applies to our Chaz.)

BTW, copy of Shelter arrived a couple of days ago, but got snatched away by my husband.
