In other news: my head hurts. My head is still hurting. It's been hurting for, I don't know, a week? Very very low-grade headache: not enough even to trouble with painkillers, let alone grumbling to medical personnel. Just, it's starting to grind me down...

My own experience with headaches is that there is a fine line between "ignore this and carry on with life, it will go away," and the sort that I need to get under control ASAP because the longer they go on, the worse they get, the more incapacitated I end up, and the more heavy-duty drugs I need. (Fortunately, those are rare.) The pain just spirals out of control, feeding on itself. So if el headacho is not vamoose in a short time, I hit it with acetaminophen (max dose per 4 hours). That will usually take care of a headache in its early stages, when it's young and tender and vulnerable to such mild measures, whereas if I wait, it's usually Vicodin narcotic-time.

I always resist taking needed meds until the situation is much messier, but am slowly learning that it is neither a moral failing nor a felony to take an aspirin once in a while. And -- this is the kicker -- the sooner the better.

A persistent headache can be a warning of problems in the brain, Chaz. The pain is there for a reason. Not saying yours is a direct threat of, say- an impending stroke, as was the case of my friend- but monitor this, please, and consider calling a doctor especially if it starts getting more intense.

Be cautious.

Will do. Promise.

(Also, will be staying with a doctor for the next couple of weeks, so I'm liable to be scrutinised quite closely...)

Umm, postural pain? I used to get this at work, from all the time spent writing on computers. the cure (for me, anyway) was an osteopath.

My sympathies! (What is it with headaches lately, anyway? Mine is going on its fourth week, and so far two doctors have been...less than helpful. Argh.)

Today's action is Cleaning House. We'll see how that affects it...
