So far this morning, I have written - a full stop. A period.

.

I guess we call this "doing the bare minimum."

I can has coffee nao?

[ETA: no, I can not has coffee nao. I can has cat nao. Barry has come to sit in my lap while I work. Which is pretty much unheard of. He is a Special Black Snowflake this morning, and wants cosseting. So I shall cosset. And work. See Chaz work. The full stop is behind me, and I'm not looking back...]

He's doing it on purpose to MAKE you work. Barry is like, your manager, dude. He calls the shots.

Oh, wow. I would love to think I looked like this. (You should know, that everyone who knows me is cracking up right about now, because they would only recognise me from the book. Oh, and the beard, true. But, alas, I have no hair. If I did have, I'm sure it would look just like that - right colour, and it did use to be straight, in the days when I still cultivated a growth. That, however, was long ago. Smooth is sexy, these days...

Actually, I have decided: from here on in, I shall think that I look like this. Why not? There are no mirrors around the house to disabuse me...

Well, I don't look like my Sim, either. But I'm working with limited options in the game, so everyone is young, has a full head of hair, a slender waist and really awesome clothes. And anyway, reality has no place in a game.

Damn right. Is that you in the icon, waving? I recognised you instantly!

Besides, in truth we all are young and hairy and slender and wonderfully dressed. Pratchett has a line somewhere, "inside every old man is a young man wondering what the hell happened," which is just So True...
