I would just like to point out that I answered all these questions honestly, and the only one I didn't check was "You drive a German car", because in fact I drive no car at all...

You Are 95% British

Are you British? Hell, you're more of a Brit than the Queen is!

You're truly the dog's bollocks... and you know that's not an insult.

So what if you're a slobbering drunk obsessed with football?

At least you always remember your manners.

I am 25% British. That seems about, let me count. Ah yes. 25% too much. :)

Well, that's the first 5% on the 'How Irish am I?' quiz sorted.

I got 80% - we have a Scandihoovian car, I have encountered iced tea and it was not unpleasing, and I do not support a football team. In a city with two, it's just asking for trouble.

Oh dear, it said I was 40% British. But I don't want to go into work hungover, and I hate football of either variety!

I'm only 80%. Mainly because I wouldn't want to spend an afternon in Harrods, it's far too arriviste. An afternoon in Fortnum's, on the other hand...

Also I don't have any interest in football.

I can live with that.

I'm 70%. This is despite the fact that 'football' is always Aussie Rules.

Me, too. I love iced tea, especially fruit-flavored kinds, and could care less about either kind of football, don't drink beer... I guess I have nice manners.

Apparently, I am 55% British. Which is just about right, really, being half-English/half-Irish. I attribute the 5% error to my Dad being raised in the UK.

Oh, but you can have another ten percentage points for using the French language to underscore the essence of English snobbery.

If I wrote a test to distinguish Englishness from Americanism, it would have to include whether you say "I could care less" or "I couldn't care less". It's one of those examples where the exact opposite is taken to mean exactly the same thing - but I have never understood the American version. "I couldn't care less" says what I mean, that this subject is at the bottom of my interests, nothing matters to me less than this. "I could care less" - doesn't say that. It doesn't define at all how much you do or don't care, only that you do care to some degree. I trip over this every time...

65% probably as I don't like football, don't drive, and haven't had a hangover for ages. But it isn't exclusive - I'd expect to get a 25% or above rating on quite a few nationalities, if the tests actually existed.

Got me there! Hmmm... I think I usually use the proper expression (the negative) except when I slip into Accent Casual. Lord Peter Wimsey using "ain't" comes to mind, but that's a different sort of affectation.
