I knew the little rats were stealing my thumb-drives. See, I keep negligently leaving them on the desk, where they are apparently an open invitation to the thumbless wonders: "But they're toys, Chaz! For us! See how they skitter, when we biff!"

And my evidence, you ask? Thumb-drives! Retrieved from beneath the reading-chair, right here in the office!

And the reason for this discovery? Hah! They'll be sorry. I'm going to hoover. I'm going to hoover everywhere.

Right now, let it be admitted, Mac is standing on top of the hoover like a statue of triumph. He'll learn. He has half-learned already, to be afraid of the thing; but only when it's working. And he had to learn that from Barry, who is smart and runs away at first sight. When Mac first moved in, he'd let it suck at his tail. It's been interesting to watch his attitude change...
