I'm back. We are up and running again, my desktop and me.

It all feels - very big. And strange. It's been two months, near enough: time enough to become unfamiliar again. All sorts of inappropriate metaphors occur.

Also, I am cold and full of clag. And still disinclined to work. P'raps I'll just fuss around today. Tidy the desk, and so forth. Write a letter to my mum. Y'know, like that. Busy-work. Gotta be done.

In the meantime, if you haven't bought a copy of Daniel's Dragon in Chains, you might want to do it now. I can't speak for the bookstores, but Amazon is running short of copies, both sides of the pond...

Hmm. Dunno about that. More likely the Amazons didn't have many copies to start with. It'll be bookstore sales that define the book's success, and of those I have no idea.

You're not allowed to be optimistic, but we are.

Thank you. Perfect person. Daniel thanks you too, and hopes you will enjoy.

Well, if Amazon is running out of stock, it would seem reasonable to expect them to order another batch from the publisher, wouldn't it? I mean, they are in business to sell things, aren't they? And I often see on their sites words to the effect that there are only so many items left in stock, so order quick — more are on the way.

However, if they didn't say that, it may be that the first edition is running out.

Ergo: yay!

I dunno. This whole reasoning seems pretty sound to me, even though, I concede, I may be prejudiced in favour of my own cogitations.
