Mousey mousey
Mar. 14th, 2009 08:04 pmNot everything is lovely in this garden, but at least I have a new mouse. With lazors. So I do not have to curse and weep whenever I want the cursor to travel north.
Also, I survived my chat at Flycon; still have my panel to go (at 1pm tomorrow, if you're free), but I am now mostly just enjoying myself there. Also have become engaged to Geoff Ryman, which as some of you know has been my only goal for the last 25 years, so hey. Also, he asked me. La.
Also, someone living in Taiwan has posted about Dan's Dragon in Chains. With much applause, basically. I'm exceeding chuffed; Dan is dancing on the ceiling. (You might need to scroll down, because I can't figure out how to link directly to the one post. Nor can I pin it down by commenting on it, 'cos it demands visual verification without offering me the visual I need to verify: it's a Blogspot thing, it just don't work in any of my Linux browsers.)
Also, I have prepared a yeast sponge, prior to baking ciabatta tomorrow. First time I've ever done bread this way, mixing flour and water and fresh yeast the day before and leaving it overnight. I have to tell you, it's gone crazy; I think I could use it now. But it wants another 18 hours. Okey-doke...
Now I shall have dinner: posh cottage pie again, the frozen ruins of the olive-crusted beef stew revivified beneath a potato-and-celeriac olive mash. With green beans. If Mac has left me any. Om nom.

Date: 2009-03-14 10:04 pm (UTC)Also, on many blogspot posts, the time stamp links to the direct URL for the entry. So where it says "Posted by Haitien at 3:13 PM 0 comments" at the bottom of that post, the 3:13 PM is clickable and brings you to the archive page with the post on it, and then you can take the URL from the address window.
Did that make sense?
