So far today I have made my saving throws against: a new food processor, which would also knead my bread for me and thus be a Good Thing; a new hand-held vacuum, which would make the stairs ever so much easier to suck; and a new computer, which - well. You know about new computers. All of these, obviously, were at bargain prices. I am strong-minded, and have bought none of them. Yet. (That's the trouble with saving throws: you have to make them again and again and again...)

In other news, I hope we all learned something this week. I have learned:

that [livejournal.com profile] la_marquise_de_ is as good a houseguest as she is a friend, which was no surprise at all;

that raw okra is not fudz for cats, not even for Mac-cat, which was a bit of a surprise and a disappointment, really;

that I was wrong about wasabi peas, though - they just have to be the right wasabi peas, the Kind Mac Likes;

that I can too buy wasabi peas in Newcastle, tho' we don't yet know whether these are the Kind Mac Likes;

that jellyfish and ducks' tongues are definitely fudz for Chaz, which brings us full circle, for this is again no surprise at all.

In other other news, if I should start writing m/m regency romances under a pseudonym, this will be entirely Kari's fault.

And there was probably other other other news, but I have forgot it.
