I went to FantasyCon!! and I drank! and I talked!! and I drank! and I Held Forth on Issues (and was Right)!! and I drank! and I played pool!! and I drank! and I was on a panel with Neil Gaiman and Ray Feist and Juliet McKenna and James Barclay!! and I drank! and I interviewed one of the Guests of Honour (yes, it was the Chaz & Jules show)!! and I drank! and I was very late to bed and early up!! and I drank! and I schmoozed, networked and ligged!! and I drank!

And I still had some spare exclamation marks, but Barry!!! needs them now.

I'm glad you had a good time, so did I! :) The Chaz and Jules show was great fun. The lone cricket chirping the whole way through made it a little surreal...

You may or may not remember me vaguely, I gave you a Richard Morgan book in the lift after the raffle.

...and I am duly grateful. It's a book! I forgot that bit - books! I brought them home! They joined the others! (I think this is a breeding colony: they gather in their masses, and every time I turn around, there are more. Some of them I didn't even write.)

So glad you enjoyed Chaz & Jules; if you get the chance, come to a more focused Write Fantastic gig. C & J and more too, it's a riot...

But yes. That cricket. I think it was nocturnal; very aware of it both evenings, didn't register at all in the daytime. Weird.

You forgot about the books? Shock! Horror! :) I'm still quite amused that the only thing I took away from the raffle was something I already own. I'm glad it's gone to a good home anyway.

Write Fantastic sounds like good fun, I'll have to look you guys up sometime. I'm not a writer myself, but as a reader I always find it interesting to see what goes on to get the book from the writer's mind to my bookshelf.
