A bit of a pickle

desperanceI made fresh vegetable pickle yesterday. It has cucumber and broad beans and carrot and cabbage and chillies and onions and ginger and and and. And is kinda nice, akchually.
And then I broke my fridge.
No, no, not in the worst way: only I seem to have made five jars of this stuff, and I put them in the door-shelf and closed the door and heard a great clattering and thought "That doesn't sound good." And opened the door and all the jars fell out, because the shelf had collapsed entirely.
And it will not be repaired, and the fridge proper is kinda full of chocolate and hamz and such, so I have a space crisis here; so what I'm saying, if anybody not-in-Montreal* would like a jar of fresh vegetable pickle, all you have to do is drift around and collect it. It tastes nice and eats v well with curry of any kind, and will keep for a month. In a fridge. Okay?
*One has to get back at the bastards somehow. I have Worldcon envy of the worst kind, that kind where I'm really, really wishing I'd just maxed out another credit card and, y'know, gone...**
**also, I know it's the weekend and all, but it seems like nobody on my friendslist is posting except from Montreal, which just rubs it in the harder. Grrr.
