I keep getting - several times a day - spams which call me a "vip member" and offer me inducements which are allegedly detailed in the attached PDF files, which I may to my delight view by opening them in Acrobat. They do, at first and casual glance, appear to be PDF files; at least, they appear to have a .pdf suffix. I do not open them, because I are not a moron - but what is this? Are they something more dangerous masquerading as pdfs? Or can bad people actually smuggle something nasty into a pdf? Or is it actually going to be nothing more harmful than a seductive text offering me inducements...?
