Winery

I am rightly castigated for being non-specific about the winery we visited: which was Grgich Hills (pronounced Gurr-Gitch, 'k? It's Croatian!). And they age their wines in French oak, because the flavour is very different from American oak, because I asked; and they grow mustard and other ground-crops between the vines for numerous reasons, and do not harvest them but plough them in to enrich the soil, because I asked; and it was a bit like that, really. Nice Canadian boy showing us around, and me plaguing him with questions. And we got to taste several wines, and bought a bottle of the Zin because it's fabulous. And I'm sure there's a lot more I ought to be saying about it, but I don't really remember and we have to go out soon, soonest, now...
