Fougasse

This sourdough fougasse I have invented? It would be better if I hadn't forgotten the salt. Still - *dunks it in sea salt and olive oil* - it's not a disaster. Not at all. And I did invent it. *preens*

The word "fougasse" apparently comes from the same root as "focaccia", viz and to wit focus, which is Latin for the hearth. Isn't that interesting?
