I also have to make a pavlova-shell tonight. Duck-egg meringue! With a splash of nut vinegar in it! Should be lovely - but oh, my beating-arm is tired already. (It's my own fault. I do insist on whipping cream and egg-white by hand, it's a matter of pride or honour or some such; but I am not built for vigorous efforts, and my arm aches something cruel...)
