Somewhere at the other end of this house, one of the boys is belling like a countertenor bull. It's regular and haunting, and I don't know which cat it is; neither of them sounds like this normally. And I'm not going down to see, because by the time I get there they will stop, and I still won't know. And there won't be anything visibly wrong with either of 'em, or any other clear explanation. We have trod this road before. Sometimes they have to go crazy and run around the house; sometimes they have to stand in corners and shout. And it's always at the other end of the house from me, I've never actually seen either of 'em do it.

In other news, Reading Week has so far been mostly watching-Star-Trek-reruns-on-TV-Weekend, but I don't care. I'm convalescent, I'm allowed. And right now I'm going to bed, 'cos I'm allowed to do that too.
