Ooh, look...
Oct. 30th, 2006 11:03 pm...I have a hundred friends! *waves to friends*
S'nice. Warm feelings ensue. 'Specially as winter has apparently found us; it is raining coldly out there, and through the holes in my roof which the council has now apparently decided not to fix for me, rat their inconstant eyes.
Never mind. I am home from the theatre, 'Much Ado' staged in pre-revolutionary Cuba, which was fun; and before that was a hard day's working day, which is always good from this angle, looking back. Actually, these days it's kind of good in the process too, I'm enjoying the workingness of it all; but it was something of a startlement to be talking to someone in the interval who I haven't seen for a couple of months, and he asked how the novel was and I told him, and it took a minute to understand that we were talking about totally different books, because I'd just finished one last time we spoke, and now I am sooo close to finishing another...
And my play producer was there, of course, but we didn't get to talk shop at all; just as well, as I have done nothing to it since the read-through. I will; but I have to finish this, and then I have to write samples for the big Taiwan fantasy, and then perhaps I'll have leisure to write another draft of the play. *nods*
But I'm not stressed or anything. I'm fine. Hey, I've got a hundred friends...

Date: 2006-10-31 08:49 am (UTC)Such are the dilemmas that we face, day in, day out: sleep, or work? Coffee, or work? ('Coffee and work' comes later, second stint.)
And the answer we so often find is 'LJ'.

Date: 2006-10-31 10:38 am (UTC)And now - I am caffeinated and have a long article and a library book to tackle before going to lectures this afternoon.
Just one more hit of 'refresh' on my friends page. Really, just the one more.
