When will I never learn?
Apr. 7th, 2011 04:59 pmWhoops: I trusted their timings (viz, I set my timer for What the Recipe Said, intending to check five minutes earlier; and then forgot, as I so often do, so they got the full time anyway) and it was a tad too long. Still, not burned, the buns, not seriously: just dark-avised. And (*bites* - livetasting!) not bad, albeit totally stuck to the greaseproof paper; we'll do that differently next time. (It's a very strange dough: alternately sticky and not-sticky, and always at the stages you don't expect.)
Also next time: more spices, more butter, perhaps more egg in the dough. The honey glaze is nice. And sticky. Nice and sticky. Yes.
