Tailchaser's Bathroom Song

desperanceI wonder what it is about bathrooms, that makes cats want to chase their tails? Misha used to do it in the bath, as soon as all that nasty water had drained away; I suppose it was warm and steamy in there, but even so it's an odd form of exercise to specialise in.
Barry does it morning and evening, while I ablute. It's the only place he does it, and he's absolutely consistent: twice daily, every day. Granted that this house is not overfull of open floorspace, being as it is overfull of Stuff, but there are other places, wherein he does not do this. It's his bathroom thing. I guess every cat has to have one. Or maybe Mishie left a secret sign scratched into the paintwork, maybe it's a cat-rite?
