desperanceY'all have been laughing up your sleeves at me, I know that, for my doubtless-futile attempts to impose a little discipline here, my denial of sossidge to boys in view of their countless outrages against decency and good order.
Hrrumph.
Came down this morning to find the fridge door open, and a thoroughly chewed chorizo on the floor. Sossidge achieved. They positively smugged at me.
In other news, I went to the Lit & Phil yesterday to work, forgetting that lunchtime marked the opening of an exhibition by m'friend Donna-Lisa Healy: photos of writers who've been through the doors of the library in the last year. So then there was wine gedrunken and talking had, mostly about my imminent departure; and I seem to have stayed till last and drunk most and then ended up in the pub with beers. So when I got home, there really wasn't any point in doing anything more than more drinking.
Those of you who can and want to, may view a brief TV piece about the exhibition & the library here: it's at about 15.30 on the clock. And there's a view of a photo of me, and actually the briefest possible glimpse of a baseball cap among the crowd which most likely has me beneath it, right at the end there.
