I have made all the marmalades. All of them.
Another ten pints this afternoon, which makes twenty, which is two and a half gallons. If we run out before the next Seville season starts - well, I'll just have to make something else instead. It'll be hardest on my friends if we do run out, because next season I expect I'll be utterly forbidden to give any away, no matter how much I make. All r marmalade r belong to us.
But I don't expect to run out, so that's okay. I think twenty pints is a lot. Even in these little American pints (I do keep forgetting that they're maly little things, compared to our robust enormous British pints).
Also, I feel kinda crap, actually. Karen keeps eyeing me askance and sending me out of the kitchen. I ought to do some work, for I have done none for days; but I think I'll just sit in the comfy chair and read Ursula for a bit. If I get myself a gin with a lot of tonic in it, and add half a lime, then that'll be utterly medicinal, won't it? Tonic means healthful, I'm sure, and lime is full of vitamin C, and everyone knows that gin is good for you. It has to be, it's got that clean astringency to it and all those wonderful botanicals inside. Greenstuffs! It's practically a salad.
(Also, I keep thinking that -30- must be an emoticon. Sorry. Anyone know why -30-?)
