Wedding registry lists
Mar. 27th, 2012 04:41 pmPeople in the UK have been having trouble buying us gifts, oh noes! Curious American companies of unusual size apparently can't cope with the notion of foreign credit cards. They must - surely? - have encountered this before, but none the less.
You are please to remember that I am myself English, so assume that we have been through all the "oh no, you mustn't trouble, really; we don't want gifts, only the warmth of your good wishes," ect ect. It's all true, but some of you are stubborn.
So, this is the state of play thus far. We have registry lists at Bed Bath and Beyond and at Sur La Table. The latter will take UK credit cards only if you phone a particular store in Washington - 425-827-1311 - and order that way; the former we haven't yet found any solution for. This is, you will understand, driving me to drink.
*fetches gin*
Nevertheless, I have added a few more items to the list at Sur La Table. Because it does no harm to dream, y'know?
