A Global catastrophe

Just to cap a wonderful week*, one of my fancy Global knives clove in twain last night: just sheared between the handle and the blade. I am distressed. And moments later something in my back went sproing! in the most painful way imaginable. I may be stressed and also distressed.

So just now, every moment is a new discovery. I have survived sleeping, including rolling turning inching over; I have survived the shower. Any moment now we'll find out if I can survive the bicycle.

You must have jerked back with shock at seeing a knife so sharp it cut itself in two.

Hee. I think that is indeed exactly what did happen. (and I have sent the shattered knife back to Global, in hopes but without expectation...)
