The turkey is in brine. The pecan pie is baked. The chance of other pies is minimal to non-existent. All the many more things that I might have done today have been - as is only proper - put off until tomorrow. You can build a lot of stress into the length of time it takes a turkey to cook.

Matters kick off at seven-thirty ack emma, down at the Bean Scene. I am thinking of smuggling in a bottle of spirits, to reinforce the coffee. After that, the day is our oyster. I don't actually have an oyster knife, but we'll improvise.
