This may be old, but I hadn't see it before:

The Fantasy Novelist's Exam.

(I think in the end I did have to give up and confess, answer yes...)

So which was your yes?

And is it possible to answer "Do you think you know how feudalism worked but really don't?"

Q 28: "Is this the first book in a planned trilogy?"

Yup, it is. My first fantasy series was planned not to be a trilogy, but just turned out that way regardless; the second was just the two books (why do I so dislike 'duology'? 'Cos I do); the next is, emphatically, three.

Also, q 30 ("thicker than the New York phone book") cuts close to the bone. I like big books, damn it.

As to the feudalism question: yes, of course it's possible to answer it, just possibly not to answer it truthfully or usefully.

Yep, looked at the pile of six books that was sitting next to my computer, considered that they started as three, and thought, "If Chaz doesn't answer yes to that one, he's deluded or lying." :->

Incidentally, overall review is finally posted.

I know, I saw. I, uh, didn't like to comment. You know I'm grateful, flattered, delighted, right...?

I thought it unlikely that the pleasure of seeing someone say "buy this book" had worn off yet. It doesn't seem to have for all the other writers I know. :-)

I'm glad you're enjoying it.

[grin] I avoided answering yes to any of those, but that is in part because my fantasy novel is set in the present day, and I was ripp... er... *riffing* off the old stories about silkies.

I'll confess one "I don't think so, but I suppose other people might." :-)

See above - I'm writing a trilogy. Unashamedly.

Oh good! I like it when the story doesn't end so quickly!
