Phones upstairs and down; the one downstairs has a button on the base unit, that pages the one upstairs. Cat applies paw (or possibly nose) to button; phone by computer shrills unpleasantly. Chaz answers phone; cat fails to respond.
It's only happened once so far, so actually I'm calling it an accident. I suspect cause and effect are too remote to be interesting. As opposed to, say, sitting on the chest of drawers and reaching down to pluck at one of the dangly handles so that it makes that fascinating knocking sound, we love that. We do that over and over. Middle-of-the-night is best, we think, acoustically...
We have that kind of phone too. Though as Molly doesn't have an LJ account (that I know of ... *worries*) I don't think she'll pick up the tip on how to use it from here.
Ooh - cat-LJ! FJ, prob'ly - FelineJournal. I bet they do, y'know...
(Val McDermid had this whole theory about the Dairy Club, an (inter)national network that all cats secretly belong to, so when they get moved around they just have to locate the nearest branch, which will let all their old gang know where they've gone and introduce 'em to the new neighbourhood and so on. And of course there'll be an internet-version, these online days...)

Date: 2007-08-01 12:44 pm (UTC)I miss the fun of having a cat, but the wanton destruction and torture I don't miss quite so much.
