Cleanliness is next to dirtliness
Jun. 19th, 2008 07:15 pmI have spent ... an hour, cleaning & sorting out a kitchen cabinet.
The trouble with that? Apart from the fact that I have needed another hour and the better part of a bottle of wine to get over it (never has the notion of writing fiction seemed more attractive)?
Suddenly the rest of the kitchen seems filthy. Sigh. Expect me when you see me, elbow-deep in suds...
Also, I have in the midst of this distraction entirely forgotten to arrange anything to eat. That'll be spaghetti, then: with garlic and rosemary and chilli. And some more garlic and a bit more chilli, but that's enough rosemary, thanks. It's good to have fallbacks.
Now: can I write some more? Just a bit? Ah, g'wan...
