Thanks for all your inputs on the Great Question of Yesterday. Because there was such a wide variety of answers, I am thinking myself free to go with my own first-draft choice (which I must have thought about at the time, and there must have been some reason for, even if it was only visual comfort): Mjolnir it is. Unless something comes along to change it. [Oh hai. I'm Thor, and this is my hammer...] [The official Scariest Cat I Ever Met was called Thor. He was also the Biggest Cat I Ever Met. The ground shook where he walked. He took a fancy to me, and chose my lap as his throne for the afternoon. Oof.]

Another question!
Dec. 9th, 2010 06:15 pmDo you like to see foreign words italicised, in English text? Specifically:
Ash was the jeunesse dorée, a celebrity in his own right.
or:
Ash was the jeunesse dorée, a celebrity in his own right.
[And don't no smartass tell me it should be "la jeunesse dorée", 'k? This is still English, and our articles remain our own. Which is also why I insist on "the hoi-polloi", but that's a whole nother argument.]
