A farewell to sleet
Mar. 4th, 2012 12:58 pmActually, it was almost snow by the time I had walked through it for half an hour. Almost. Still sleet, though. I consoled myself with the thought that I may never have to do this again.
In other news, -30-
I finished Pandaemonium yesterday lunchtime, and then promptly went off to visit friends. And crashed overnight, and this morning's clear-up yielded ten bottles of wine between the five of us, not to mention the gin, the port and the whisky. Oops?
And now I am home, and people are threatening to come round. People! Come round and take my things! All of them! I have many things! Some of them are kitchenwares and some of them are books. Also there is a desk, and sofas, and a stereo system with speakers large and small, and and and. A dining-table! With chairs!
You take the point. Basically it's open-house all week chez moi, and you are all welcome to anything. The potato-ricer is spoken for; so is the TV. Can I interest anyone in a slow cooker? Or a washing machine?
