Memo to self
Apr. 12th, 2008 04:21 pmBefore attempting to make pavlova: sell cats!
("Ooh, egg-yolks! I can has egg-yo - whoops! Is spilled! I can has nao?"
Etc, ad nauseam)
Still'n'all, I have three hours left before people come. That's - oh, lots of time. Lots'n'lots. I must:
make constituent parts of garlic mash (boil & rice potatoes; simmer garlic in butter, boil in milk, whizz in whizzy thing; do not mix all together till wanted);
steam purple sprouting broccoli (and stand guard!);
make rhubarb fool (mix cooled baked rhubarb into cooled custard; whip cream; fold rhubarb'n'custard into cream) (and stand guard!);
tidy house;
hoover house;
lay table.*
Is easy. And I can do it all to singalongaSondheim (or Side by Side, as it is more generally known - but I do know every word. Am alone; can belt...).
*ETA: make breadcrumbs, chop olives, mix together to make olive crust for lamb stew. I has invented this today...
