Live dinnerblogging - catastrophe!
Apr. 12th, 2008 06:31 pmFool me twice, shame on me...
I can't believe I've just been lied to twice by the same recipe. And with regards to the same tool. Of course the meringue is not going to whip back to stiff and glossy peaks, once you've folded in a tablespoon of nut vinegar; of course the cream is not going to whip back into even soft peaks, once you've folded in all that runny custard. Just not going to happen.
So. Pudding will be served in bowls, and sloppily. Snarl. *scribbles all over recipe*
Also, two of my guests have cancelled. With justice, but now I have empty seats at my table and way too much food. As usual. Sigh...

Think up a snazzy name and your guests will be none the wiser: it works a treat when, to take an example at random - honest!, the rice is overcooked and claggy. That is 'Laos-y Rice'. Yes, it's true. I cook lousy rice.
