I know I'm no good with faces, but...

I am one with the gleeful number, on the detention of Radovan Karadzic; but I do just want it noted, that no matter how often I stare at 'em, I have no idea how you can have one of these faces in your mind and recognise it in the other one. He'd have fooled me nine ways from Sunday; he is still fooling me.

Mind you, I'm better at voices than faces and sometimes have to close my eyes to recognise actors.

Anyone with a beard like that has something to hide, even if it is only a weak chin. Looking at younger footage of him, that doesn't seem to be the case here.

Indeed, I remembered his former appearance chiefly for the very 'done' hair! ;-) With the bearded get-up he looks suspiciously like one of the caretakers from my workplace...

The most bizarre thing, though, is the idea of him as an alternative healer... you couldn't make it up! ^_^

Profoundly bearded faces are particularly difficult, of course. You could have told me that the dude on the second picture was the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and I would have believed you. (Or nearly so.)

I was myself thinking, devoted decoys would be the way to go. Sidney Carton style, doing a far far better thing: growing enormous beards to hide the fact that they are not in fact Karadzic, getting themselves arrested and sent to the Hague, languishing in jail for years and decades knowing that because of them their beloved master still walks free...

Has anybody heard what branch of alternative medicine he's been following? I'm not sure I'd want him sticking needles in me, f'rexample...
