Further to recent spit-hate for pavement cyclists: I was just downstairs with the cat, looking out of the window at the rain, and along came a policeman. On a bicycle. On the pavement. Please may I run out and make a citizen's arrest, please? Snarrrrllll...

So confused!

I take it you and the kitty don't like bicyclists? Am I wrong?

I'm tired, so am therefore confuzzled. :P

I'm sorry, didn't mean to confuzzle anyone; this is the back end of an earlier conversation. I'm entirely happy with cyclists in their place, which is on the road, where wheeled vehicles belong. On the pavement - which is where I belong - they are an ever-increasing danger, and a cause for impotent fury in me.

Barry-cat has no view, that I'm aware of. He watches bikes with a deep lack of interest. Dogs, on the other hand, excite him utterly; he dashes from one window to the next to keep them in view as long as possible. I'd back him against the little ones any day, but he thinks he can take a Rottweiler. How do your kittens get on with Val - and if peacefully, did that just happen, or did you need to persuade 'em to play nice?

Loki, the original Scott and Jenny cat, Loves dogs. So we got a very young dog and for awhile Loki enjoyed scaring her. After awhile they started to play and now Valkyrie thinks she's a cat. :)

It works out well.

She does happen to chase cats that are not in our house, or don't belong to those friends that she visits regularly. :P

Ah, right. She thinks she's a cat, and is hence territorial. Yup.

The only other thing I wanted to say, are you going to post pictures of these fabulous rock walls you're building? I keep envisioning something like Minas Tirith, which I'm sure is over-grandiose, but oh, I am curious...

If I can actually remember to bring my camera out to the site/parents' house I will definitely post the pictures. It is work that we/I are/am very proud of :)

PS - the other thing about the original post - cycling on the pavement is illegal. The law is never enforced, but it does still exist. So when I see a policeman do it, my rage runneth over...
