Lawks! Is it just me, or is there something peculiar about an Icon and National Treasure like Brian Aldiss having anything as ordinary as a birthday? I mean, it's BRIAN ALDISS. That's like saying that Yoda or Superman or Arthur C Clarke or Patrick Moore has a birthday.
Not just you. I was sitting next to him, at a mass signing session for PS Publishing. Let me say that again. I Was Sitting Next To Brian Aldiss. He sits! He speaks! To me! I allotted myself twenty seconds of fanboy squee, and then was the consummate friendly professional (which I suspect he saw through entirely, to the interior and ongoing squee).
