Fine, it is not an uncatlike position to adopt. Most cats, though, would lie lengthwise along the back, or transfer onto my shoulders, or...
Well, almost anything except this. He likes to sit bolt upright on this narrow curving back with his back to me, as though he and I were book-ends, or Janus staring in opposite directions. Necessarily, maintaining this precarious balance means that his tail has to waft around my neck. If it were properly prehensile, no doubt it would wrap around for better anchor. As it is - well, it wafts.
It tickles.
