All up and down the street, the council's workiepeople have demolished the old walls and railings. They have built a shiny new wall. From the top of the street down, they have now erected shiny new railings - everywhere except outside my house. Where they are now selectively demolishing my shiny new wall. Please not to ask me why.

I wouldn't care, exactly - but the temporary patched-up cable through which I speak to the world (including you, O my beloved 'earers) runs through that wall. If I vanish again, you may deduce that they have cut it again.
