Me, I seem to have exhausted my first dough. I set it to rise early yesterday, and knocked it back three or four times by mid-afternoon. Then I went out. By the time I came home it had risen just lovely, but it was too late to think about baking; so I knocked it back again and left it overnight. This morning it was ... not so enthusiastic, but I knocked it one more time and shaped it and so forth, and frankly? It's knackered. It's got nothing left. Heh.

I am making broccoli cauliflower stilton soup regardless. I have other bread.

I would have other other bread, but my fresh yeast is ... not so fresh. The light rye caraway loaf will have to wait. I really shouldn't be baking any more more bread, anyway. I'm going away Friday, for cryin' out loud; I have plenty.

Mac made another dive for freedom when I came home last night, but the big dark world was very scary so he came in again of his own accord. He was lucky that I kinda felt him slipping by; I might not have noticed all night that he was gone. Little rat-thing. *frowns at Mac*

Frown too long at a cat, and the cat ... just goes away, actually. Sigh.
