What else do we stop for, in the first five pages?

Why, to check on Wikipedia that rabbits are native to the Chinese mainland. Twenty Thirty years ago, the market here was full of Chinese rabbit-meat, but those were large and white and might have come from anywhere, they seemed utterly deracinated. Wiki didn't help much, so I googled - and was instantly reminded that the rabbit is one of the signs of the sheng xiao, the Chinese zodiac. Oh, yes. Not a worry, then. Except that some people call it a hare, and in Vietnam it's a cat, but hey...

And then, of course, thinking of such confusions, I remembered Newcastle's own vampire rabbit. Which, every time I take someone new to see it, they suggest it might be a hare. Every time, every damn time, I have to point out that that's haresy...
